Provided are a message sending method and message receiving method and apparatus. The message sending method comprises: determining an operating mode used for sending a message, said operating mode being a mode using the following means of Ethernet interface multiplexing to send said message: an Ethernet interface having a granularity of 10G, 40G, or 100G; sending the message according to the determined operating mode.
