Abstract:
Disclosed is a light-resistant meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber which uses a highly hydrophobic ultraviolet absorbent and has specific physical properties. The meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber can be dyed in various hues by carrier dyeing and can be suppressed in fall-off of a light resistant agent during the dyeing. Specifically disclosed is a meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber, which contains an ultraviolet absorbent having a solubility in water of less than 0.04 mg/L, and which has an exhaustion ratio of the dyed fibers of 90% or more and a light resistance retention ratio after carrier dyeing of not less than 80%.
