Abstract:
In order to alleviate shock when the tip ends of the crest portions of a metal bellows make contact, and to minimize deformation of the tip ends of the crest portions when contact occurs, this metal bellows 10 is characterized in that in an initial assembled free length state in which the metal bellows is neither elongated nor contracted, each valley portion forms a U-shaped cross section and folds back, and each crest portion forms an arc-shaped cross section and folds back, with each of the crest portions being provided at a position offset with respect to the center of the pitch of the adjacent valley portions on either side of that crest portion, and of the body portions connected on either side of the crest portions, at least the body portion located on the offset side is provided with a restricted part that protrudes toward the inside of the metal bellows.
