The present invention relates to a metal can crusher, which detects, with a sensor, a metal can when a user puts the metal can into the insert hole of the metal can crusher after the user drinks from a beverage can or a coffee can at an expressway rest area and the like, so as to be operated through a control part, and presses and crushes the can so as to reduce volume thereof and store same. The objective of the present invention is to provide the metal can crusher, which detects, with the sensor, the metal can when the user puts the metal can into the insert hole of the metal can crusher so as to be operated through the control part, and presses and crushes the can so as to reduce the volume thereof and store same, the can crusher comprising: the insert hole circularly formed at the upper end of the front outer side of the crusher so as to enable the metal cans to be inserted therethrough; a display part which is positioned below the insert hole, and which has a green LED, a yellow LED, and a red LED formed in the middle of the outer side thereof; a first gutter into which the cans are inserted through the insert hole, which has a metal sensor provided therein, and which is inclined downward; a first opening/closing piece, which is provided inside the first gutter and closed so as to assist the detection of metal, and is opened when making a determination about whether metal is present; the metal sensor provided inside the first gutter so as to detect whether metal is present; a second opening/closing piece that closes if metal is present and opens if non-metal is present after the metal sensor has made a determination about whether metal is present; an opening/closing operation part provided at the outer upper end of the first gutter so as to operate the first opening/closing piece and the second opening/closing piece; a second gutter diagonally formed from the second opening/closing piece so as to assist in the discharge of non-metals; a return hole formed at the end portion in the second gutter so that the non-metals are discharged, and formed in a square shape on one surface of the front lower end thereof; a collecting part for collecting cans by closing the second opening/closing piece when the metal sensor determines that metal is present; a movement detection sensor provided on one side surface inside the collecting part so as to detect the movement of the metal cans; a motor part operated through the movement detection sensor and the control part; a crushing part of which a crushing shaft is linked with the motor part so that the metal cans are crushed through a plurality of crushing blades when the motor part is operated; a storage part for storing the metal cans having been crushed by the crushing part to have minimized volume; casters provided on the side surfaces of the lower end of the storage part so as to assist and facilitate transport; a weight detection sensor which is provided at the lower end of the storage part, and which recognizes the capacity of the storage part; and the control part, which receives data from the metal sensor, the movement detection sensor, and the weight detection sensor, controls the operations of the display part, the opening/closing operation part, the motor part, and the crushing part on the basis of a control signal, and is provided in an accommodation part.
