Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides a plastic outer shape requiring robustness. In the metal coating method for a plastic outer shape requiring robustness, first, a plastic outer shape is provided as a motion-assistant device. Afterward, low-temperature plasma treatment is performed on the plastic outer shape to thereby introduce polar functional groups onto the surface of the plastic outer shape. Subsequently, on the surface of the plastic outer shape which has been low-temperature-plasma-treated, a metal coating layer is formed by an electroless plating method. Afterward, an adhesion enhancement step is performed by heat-treating the plastic outer shape on which the metal coating layer has been formed, to thereby enhance the strength of adhesion between the metal coating layer and the plastic outer shape to be 1,000(g/cm2) or greater.
