Abstract:
In the present invention, a temperature increase within a switchboard, which is an electric device, is suppressed by creatively modifying the shape of a slit that opens in a partition plate of the switchboard. Cross-shaped holes (8a), which are through holes, are disposed in a matrix in a metal plate which constitutes a grounding metal cover (1), which is a metal component. In a region A that is surrounded by two rows and two columns of the cross-shaped holes (8a), cross-shaped holes (8b), which are through holes, are disposed so as to be tilted diagonally. By forming the cross-shaped holes (8a), (8b) so as to create a staggered arrangement in the grounding metal cover (1), eddy currents which are generated due to operation of the switchboard are made to pass through a complex maze structure bypassing the hole portions.
