Abstract:
 [Problem] To provide a metal compound adsorbent for adsorbing negative ion metal compounds, and a method for efficiently recovering a metal compound while reducing the environmental burden using a simple treatment process incorporating the use of the metal compound adsorbent. [Solution] A metal-compound adsorbent that: contains free amino acids; contains at least one first amino acid from among alanine, cysteine, methionine, tyrosine, lysine, valine, glutamic acid, histidine, proline, threonine, asparagine, glycine, isoleucine, ornithine, arginine, serine, citrulline, and cystathionine as the free amino acid; and contains free amino acids corresponding to the first amino acids at a total amount of at least 10 mol% in relation to the total amount of the free amino acids. In addition, a method for recovering a metal compound, the metal-compound adsorbent being used in the method.
