Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain a metal cutting chip compressing machine and a control method for the same which are capable of performing cycle time management that is more precise and detailed than in the prior art for each process, and performing a re-executing operation for solving a problem in the event of a cycle time over as a retry operation through automation. [Solution] In this metal cutting chip compressing machine, a control unit, in which a cycle time for each of predetermined small steps obtained by subdividing a series of processes and an error code corresponding to the event of a cycle time over of the cycle time are set, has: a normal operation mode in which the series of processes are carried out while performing cycle time management in which an alarm signal is generated in the event of a cycle time over; and a test operation mode in which the series of processes are carried out without performing the cycle time management, wherein the normal operation mode and the test operation mode are switchable. The control unit is equipped with a display module on which a corresponding error code is displayed when the alarm signal is generated in the normal operation mode.
