Abstract:
A metal gasket (10) includes at least one metal substrate (11) that has an outer surface coated with a sealing material (19) and that is provided with a full bead (13), which is for sealing a cylindrical bore hole, and a half bead (16), which is for sealing a liquid hole. The metal gasket (10) is fitted between a cylinder head and a cylinder block. The metal gasket (10) is characterized as follows. The half bead (16) includes: an inclined plate part (16b) that is connected to a flat substrate body (11a) of the metal substrate (11) via a first curved part (16a) and is inclined with respect to the substrate body (11a); and an edge plate part (16d) that is connected to the inclined plate part (16b) via a second curved part (16c) and is inclined with respect to the inclined plate part (16b). The radius of the convex-side surface of the first curved part (16a) and the radius of the concave-side surface of the second curved part (16c) lie within a range of 2.0-3.5 mm.
