Abstract:
A metal halide lamp comprises a lamp cup (3), a lamp cover (1) and a holder (5). Two lamp pins (6) are arranged on the holder (5). At least two notches (8) are opened on the rim (2) of the lamp cup. Projections (9) are arranged at the edge of the lamp cover (1) corresponding to the notches (8). The lamp cover (1) is joined to the lamp cup (3) through the notches (8) and the projections (9) clamped on the rim (2). The lamp cover (1) and the lamp cup (3) are bonded through adhesive, and then they are tightly locked through a locking piece (7). A heat dissipation groove (10) is arranged between the two lamp pins (6) of the holder (5). Two symmetrical locating grooves (4) are arranged on the holder (5).
