Abstract:
"Urban ore" contains a plurality of metallic elements intermingled with one another, and given metallic elements are required to be separately recovered therefrom. However, the content of each element is very low, and it has been extremely difficult to selectively recover a necessary metallic element.
Provided is a metal-ion adsorbent for use in a method for recovering metal ions present in a liquid. The metal-ion adsorbent is characterized by comprising a continuously porous support having a plurality of pores which are uniform in size and shape and a compound having a group that combines with a metal ion, the compound having been chemically bonded to the inner surface of the pores. The adsorbent is a material with which rare-metal ions contained in "urban ore" are efficiently and inexpensively taken out. Also provided is the method therefor.
