A metal mold of a hot runner type injection molding machine capable of injection-molding a metal, wherein a heating means heating a metal inside a nozzle is installed at any position of the nozzle, a plurality of temperature measurement points are provided at specified intervals between the tip of the nozzle and the heating means, one reference point used as a reference for temperature control is selected from among the measurement points, the heating means is controlled so that, when the metal mold is released, a metal part where the heating means is located can be kept in molten state and the temperature at the reference point can be maintained at a constant temperature lower than the melting point of the metal, the temperature distribution at each measurement point is measured when the temperature at the reference point is kept at a constant and, based on the measured results, when the metal mold is released, the solidified state of the metal is maintained stably, a temperature range in which the solidified metal temperature is nearest the melting point of the metal is found out, and a gate cut part is set within the range of this temperature.
