Abstract:
Provided is a metal molded body which is a production intermediate between a metal molded body and another molded body. This metal molded body has a porous structure formed in a surface layer, wherein the average of the maximum pore depth height differences between the pores in the porous structure is in the range of 30-200 μm as measured by the method below, and the range of the maximum height differences that are the basis for calculating the average maximum height difference is within ± 40% of the average maximum height difference. (Method for measuring average maximum height difference) Up to 10 regions that are 500 μm in length are randomly selected from a 20 mm × 20 mm area of the porous structure (or the entire area of the porous structure if smaller than 20 mm × 20 mm) of the metal molded body, the maximum height differences between the pores in the porous structure within the range of 500 μm length at the up to 10 regions are measured from cross-sectional SEM images, and the average value of the maximum height differences is determined.
