Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a metal-organic framework production method capable of producing metal-organic frameworks which exhibit excellent gas adsorbability and durability. This metal-organic framework production method includes a step for mixing, in the presence of a solvent, a multidentate ligand and a metal salt including metal atoms, and producing a metal-organic framework, wherein the multidentate ligand includes a compound represented by general formula (1), the content of the compound represented by general formula (1) in the multidentate ligand is at least 50 mol % relative to the total molar amount of the multidentate ligand, the solvent includes an organic solvent with a boiling point of at least 100°C, and the content of the water in the solvent is 0 to 90 mass % relative to the total mass of the solvent.
