Title:
METAL PASTE FOR GAS SENSOR ELECTRODE FORMATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/115867
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a metal paste that can be used to manufacture an electrode having high electrode activity as a sensor electrode for various types of gas sensors. The present invention is a metal paste for gas sensor electrode formation, wherein the metal paste is formed by dispersing the following in a solvent: conductive particles comprising Pt or a Pt alloy; and a ceramic powder comprising zirconia or stabilized zirconia, or a combination of either of said zirconia and one or more oxides of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm and Hf. The metal paste further comprises inorganic oxide particles comprising alumina and insoluble particles that are insoluble in the solvent. The inorganic oxide particles are dispersed at a proportion of 0.5%-3.0% by mass and the insoluble particles are dispersed at a proportion of 1.0%-5.0% by mass, on a mass basis relative to the solid content comprising the conductive particles, the ceramic powder, the inorganic oxide particles, and the insoluble particles.
