Abstract:
Provided is a method comprising a step (i) in which voltage is applied between a first and second electrode (21 and 22), positioned to be in contact with an ion-conductive material, such that the first electrode (21) becomes a cathode. The material contains an adsorbent (gel 11) comprising a polymer that has adsorbed metal ions. The polymer contains the same structural unit as that of a polymer extracted from Aphanothece sacrum. In the step (i), the first electrode (21) is disposed to be in contact with the adsorbent. The metal is precipitated onto the surface of the first electrode (21) by means of the voltage applied in the step (i).
