Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention provides a metal-surface treatment agent with which a film having good flat-part corrosion resistance, machined-part corrosion resistance, fingerprint resistance, coating adhesion, washing resistance, scratch resistance, solvent resistance, and heat resistance can be formed on the surface of zinc-coated steel or zinc-based-alloy-coated steel. [Solution] A metal-surface treatment agent for zinc-coated steel or zinc-based-alloy-coated steel comprises: (A) an acrylic resin; (B) a water-glass compound; (C) a zirconium compound; (D) a phosphorus compound; and (E) a vanadium compound. The acrylic resin (A) is a copolymer obtained by an emulsion polymerization reaction among, on the basis of the total mass of raw material monomer: (a) 20 to 70 % by mass of (meth)acrylate; (b) 2 to 10 % by mass of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a carboxylic group; (c) 2 to 10 % by mass of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a hydroxyl group; (d) 10 to 30 % by mass of styrene; and (e) 10 to 30 % by mass of acrylonitrile.
