Abstract:
Disclosed is a metal tape material having improved characteristics in terms of a low Young's modulus, a low yield stress, and a high break elongation. Also disclosed is a metal tape material for semiconductor mounting comprising said metal tape material, such as an interconnector for a solar cell collector. The metal tape material comprises a metal having a face-centred cubic structure, and the crystal axis <100> of a unit cell of the face-centred cubic structure has an orientation difference within 15° relative to the thickness direction of the metal tape material, and further has an orientation difference within 15° relative to a first direction in the surface of the metal tape. The area ratio (A1) of the <100> preferred orientation region is between 60% and 100% inclusive. The crystal axis <212> of a unit cell of the face-centred cubic structure has an orientation difference within 15° relative to the thickness direction of the metal tape material, and further has an orientation difference within 15° relative to the first direction in the surface of the metal tape. If the area ratio of the <212> preferred orientation region is represented by (A2), the total (A1+A2) of the area ratio of the <100> preferred orientation region and the <212> preferred orientation region is higher than 70% and up to 100%.
