Abstract:

A metallic belt (300) is an endless belt comprising a belt-like body. When the metallic belt (300) is in a natural state in which external force is not applied thereto, the metallic belt (300) has a belt overlap section where at least two ring pieces (310a, 320a) overlap in two layers in the radial direction of the ring pieces, the at least two ring pieces (310a, 320a) being formed by being deformed by compressive stress present in the belt (300). Also, when the metallic belt (300) is cut in the direction perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the metallic belt (300) when the metallic belt (300) has been expanded from the natural state into an annular shape, the metallic belt (300) has a cross-sectional shape which protrudes radially outward.
