The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an object that has uniform quality and that has the appearance of being cut from real metal despite being a molded resin object. In the present invention, a decorative metallic ring (11) is provided with a substrate main body (20) that is molded from a composite resin and with a metal thin film (22) that is deposited on the surface of the substrate main body (20). The metal thin film (22) is structured to have a large waviness over a waviness curve that is obtained from the surface shape of the metal thin film (22) up to a first cutoff value, and to have a small waviness over a waviness curve that is obtained from the surface shape up to a second cutoff value that is smaller than the first cutoff value. For the large waviness, the ratio of the amplitude (Wc), which is the average height, of the waveform of the waviness to the wavelength (Wsm), which is the average length, is 1:600 or more for the wavelength (Wsm) when the amplitude (Wc) is made to be 1. For the small waviness, the ratio of the amplitude (Wc), which is the average height, of the waveform of the waviness to the wavelength (Wsm), which is the average length is 1:200 or more for the wavelength (Wsm) when the amplitude (Wc) is made to be 1.
