Description:
METALLIC FILM HEATER BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Field of the Invention: The invention relates generally to a metallic film heater that is inserted within an electrical cushion, and more particularly to, a metallic filin heater in which an outer surface of a metallic film is electrically coated to generate a negative ion.

Description of the Prior Art: Generally, an electrical cushion includes a Nichrome material line is inserted within the cushion made of a resilient material such as textiles or vinyl, etc. If electricity is applied to the Nichrome lines for increasing the temperature, a resistance heat is produced from the Nichrome lines.

This type of an electrical cushion, however, has a problem that the feeling of wearing the cushion is reduced due to irregularities of the Nichrome line itself within the cushion.

Further, in the electrical cushion into which a Nichrome line is inserted, the Nichrome line is experienced by a hipbone load. Due to this, there occurs problems that

the Nichrome is disconnected due to fatigue and the life of the electrical cushion is thus reduced.

Furthermore, the Nichrome lines are commonly twisted in the electrical cushion.

Thus, there is a problem that a fire may occur due to the short lines.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is contrived to solve the above problems and an object of the present invention is to provide a metallic film heater in which any irregularities do not exist, disconnection of lines due to a fatigue can be prevented and lines are not twisted during use.

In order to accomplish the above object, a metallic film heater according to the present invention, is characterized in that it comprises a metallic film connected through a metallic film power supply and a power supply line, for generating a heat; a waterproofing film containing the metallic filin ; woven textiles for containing the waterproofing film ; an outer material for containing the woven textiles; and a control unit for controlling the power applied to the power supply line.

It is preferred that the control unit includes a temperature sensor installed within the waterproofing film, and a control panel electrically connected to the temperature sensor, for controlling the power supplied to the metallic film depending on a signal sensed in the temperature sensor.

It is preferred that a tourmaline coating film is coated on an inner surface of the waterproofing film has.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The aforementioned aspects and other features of the present invention will be explained in the following description, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a metallic film heater according to the present invention; Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a through section of the power supply line in the metallic film heater according to the present invention; and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a sensor sensing line of the power supply line in the metallic film heater according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will be described in detail by way of a preferred embodiment with reference to accompanying drawings.

Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a metallic film heater according to the present invention, Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a through section of the power supply line in the metallic film heater according to the present invention and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a sensor sensing line of the power supply line in the metallic film heater according to the present invention.

Referring now to Fig. 1-Fig. 3, a metallic film heater according to the present invention will be described.

The metallic film heater includes a metallic film 10 for generating heat, a waterproofing film 12 for insulating the metallic film 12, woven textiles 16 for protecting the insulating waterproofing film 12, an outer textile material 18 for improving the feeling of wearing, and a control unit for controlling the power supply to the power supply line 20.

The metallic film 10 is a film in which a brass plate is etched to form a pattern.

The film 10 may be made of a stainless steel or aluminum having a high corrosion resistance.

If an electricity is applied to both ends of the metallic film 10, a resistance heat is generated from the metallic film 10. Meanwhile, it is preferred that the thickness of the metallic film 10 is about 0. 05mm in order to provide flexibility.

Next, the waterproofing film 12 contains the metallic film 10. It is also preferred that the material of the waterproofing film 12 is made of an engineering plastic material such as PET (polyester staple fiber), or the like. It is preferable that the thickness of the waterproofing film 12 is about 50m.

Then, the woven textiles 16 contains and protects the waterproofing film 12. It is preferred that the thickness of the woven textiles 16 is about 2mm so that it can protect the waterproofing film 12.

Thereafter, the outer textile material 18 contains and protect the woven textiles 16, which thus increases the feeling of wearing. This outer textile material 18 is usually made of a texture, a leather, etc. having cushion.

Meanwhile, it is preferred that the waterproofing film 12 has a tourmaline coating film 14 inside it.

At this time, tourmaline is a material for generating a negative ion. If the negative ion is generated from tourmaline, it affects a cell film so that ions are actively exchanged within the cell. Thus, a metabolism is actively taking plat. Further, the negative ion stabilizes the autonomous nervous system to increase an immunity from a disease.

Further, the control unit for applying an electricity to the power supply includes a temperature sensor 26 installed within the waterproofing film 12, and a control panel 50 electrically connected to the temperature sensor 26, for controlling the power supplied to the metallic film 10 depending on a signal sensed in the temperature sensor 26.

Meanwhile, the power supply line 20 for applying an electricity is connected between a control panel 50 and a metallic panel. A spot-welded portion 22 is formed at the front end of the power supply 20 and the front end of the metallic film 10.

Further, a sensor sensing line 28 is connected between the temperature sensor 26 and the control panel 50. In order to protect the sensor sensing line 28, a connection plate 30 is installed between the metallic panels 10.

It is preferred that the temperature of the control panel 50 is controlled to 40 *C- 50 °C in which the wearing person can feel comfortable upon wearing, An operation of the metallic film heater according to the present invention will be described.

If the power is first applied to the metallic film 10 via the power supply line 20, a resistance heat is generated to increase the temperature. At the same time when a

resistance heat is generated, negative ions are generated from the tourmaline coating film 14, so that a metabolism of a human body becomes smooth and an immunity from a disease is increased.

At this time, the temperature sensed in the temperature sensor 26 is transferred to the control panel 50 via the sensor sensing line 28.

Meanwhile, if the temperature transferred to the control panel 50 reaches 50 °C, the control panel 50 blocks the power applied to the metallic film 10 via the power supply line 20.

After the power is blocked, if the temperature sensed in the temperature sensor 26 reaches below 40°C, the control panel 50 again applies an electricity to the power supply line 20, so that a heat resistance is generated from the metallic film 10.

Therefore, the temperature of the metallic film heater can be kept 40 C 50 C by means of the control panel 50.

As mentioned above, in the metallic film heater according to the present invention, a metallic film is used instead of a Nichrome line. Thus, there is an advantage that a feeing of wearing can be improved.

Further, as the metallic film is employed, the metallic film is not experienced by a hipbone. Therefore, there is an advantage that disconnection of the metallic film is prevented due to a fatigue and the life of an electrical cushion is thus increased.

In addition, as the metallic film has a plate shape, generation of a fire due to shorted lines can be prevented in advance.

Additionally, as negative ions are generated from the tourmaline coating film, a metabolism of a human body is improved and an immunity from a disease is improved.

The present invention has been described with reference to a particular embodiment in connection with a particular application. Those having ordinary skill in the art and access to the teachings of the present invention will recognize additional modifications and applications within the scope thereof.

It is therefore intended by the appended claims to cover any and all such applications, modifications, and embodiments within the scope of the present invention.
