Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a metalworking fluid which comprises (A) at least one compound that is selected from the group consisting of hydroxy acids, polycondensates thereof, and products of dehydrative condensation between hydroxy acids or polycondensates thereof and fatty acids and that has an acid value of 60 to 360mgKOH/g, (B) an amine having an alicyclic group or an aromatic cyclic group, and (C) a base oil. This metalworking fluid can ensure excellent cutting, excellent compatibility with adhesives (excellent adhesion), and excellent corrosion protection of aluminum or aluminum alloys.
