Abstract:
The present invention reduces the total length of a meteorological observation device and makes it easy for a meteorological observation device to rise to a higher altitude. A meteorological observation device (1) comprises a balloon (2), a check valve (3), a radiosonde (5), and a parachute (8). The balloon (2) expands upon being filled with a gas. The check valve (3) is provided to a tube of the balloon (2) and guides the gas into the balloon (2). The radiosonde (5) is attached to the balloon (2) via a hanging rope (6). The parachute (8) includes a canopy (8a) and a parachute rope (8b) and deploys when falling. The parachute (8) is fixed at the parachute rope (8b) side to the check valve (3). The check valve (3) has, at a part thereof which is exposed to the outside of the balloon (2), a hook (3a) for hooking the canopy (8a) thereon.
