Abstract:
Provided is a methanation reactor capable of suppressing a local temperature rise of a catalyst. The methanation reactor according to the present invention comprises: a double tube having an inner tube and an outer tube; and a catalyst disposed between the inner tube and the outer tube of the double tube. In addition, the inner tube has, on one axial end side thereof, a supply port for a raw material gas and has, on the other axial end side thereof, a communication port which communicates between the inside and the outside of the inner tube and opens into the outer tube, and the outer tube has, on one axial end side thereof, a discharge port for discharging a methane-containing gas and has the other axial end side which is closed.
