Abstract:
Provided is a methane fermentation system capable of efficiently generating methane. The methane fermentation system (1) breaks down organic waste (2) using anaerobic microorganisms, causing methane fermentation, and generates methane gas (3). This methane fermentation system (1) is provided with a wet beads mill (4) for finely grinding the organic waste (2). The methane fermentation system (1) is provided with a methane fermentation tank (6) for causing the organic waste (2) that has been fine-ground by the wet beads mill (4) to be broken down by anaerobic microorganisms, causing methane fermentation, so that methane gas (3) is generated. The organic waste (2) fine-ground by the wet beads mill (4) has a water content adjusted so that the solid content ratio is 10% or less. The organic waste (2) having a water content so adjusted is fine-ground so that the 50% grain diameter in the cumulative distribution expressed in terms of volume is 20 μm or less.
