Title:
METHANE OXIDIZING CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/039513
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To further improve an oxidizing catalyst in which platinum is supported by tin oxide and provide a novel oxidizing catalyst that can maintain methane oxidizing activity even after the catalyst has been exposed to high temperatures. [Solution] A methane oxidizing catalyst having a platinum oxide supported on a tin oxide carrier, said methane oxidizing catalyst being configured such that the intensity of an absorption peak obtained in a range of 11555 – 11570 eV in a platinum L3 end x-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectrum is 1.4 times or greater than the same absorption peak intensity measured using a standard platinum foil.
