Abstract:
The methanol adsorbent adsorbs methanol contained in a liquid or a gas that contains water and methanol and contains as an active ingredient a Prussian blue analog represented by general formula (1). AxM[M'(CN)6]y∙zH2O (1) Where, x, y, and z are 0 ≤ x ≤ 3, 0.1 ≤ y ≤ 1.5, 0 ≤ z ≤ 6. A is one or more of a hydrogen ion, an ammonium cation, an alkali metal ion, and an alkaline earth metal ion. M and M' each independently are a cation (however, excluding a hydrogen ion, an ammonium cation, an alkali metal ion, and an alkaline earth metal ion).
