Abstract:
Provided are a method for accelerating lipid production in a plant characterized by introducing, into a plant which requires RNA editing of mRNA encoding a functional lipid synthase protein or a subunit thereof for expressing the protein or a subunit thereof, either or both of a gene encoding a PPR protein involved in the RNA editing and a gene encoding NEP; a plant obtained by the method; and seed of the plant.
