Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application relate to a method for activating and deactivating a secondary cell, and a terminal device. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving, at a first start moment, first instruction information sent by a network device and used for instructing the terminal device to activate or deactivate a secondary cell of the terminal device; the terminal device receiving, at a second start moment that is later than the first start moment, second instruction information sent by the network device and used for instructing the terminal device to activate or deactivate the secondary cell, wherein at the second start moment, the terminal device does not complete activation or deactivation of the secondary cell according to the first instruction information; and after the second start moment, the terminal device determining, according to a pre-set rule, to activate or deactivate the secondary cell only according to the first instruction information or the second instruction information. According to the method for activating and deactivating a secondary cell and the terminal device in the embodiments of the present application, where there is conflicting instruction information, it can be determined to execute the activation or deactivation of a secondary cell.
