A method for adjusting a switch position, in which a changeover switch (10), for switching the travel mode of a vehicle (1) between an automated driving mode for automated control of travel of the vehicle (1) and a manual driving mode in which travel of the vehicle (1) is operated by a crew member, is adjusted in accordance with the condition of a driver's seat (6).
