Abstract:
A method for adsorbing ethylene gas using amorphous particulate starch. In the method, the amorphous particulate starch is firstly prepared by means of the following steps: adding starch into aqueous ethanol solution to obtain a starch slurry, adding dropwise a NaOH solution to the slurry, performing a reaction at 30-35℃ for 20-50 min, centrifuging the resultant, neutralizing same using ethanol-hydrochloric acid solution, and washing and drying the product to prepare the amorphous particulate starch. A starch powder product having adsorbed ethylene is obtained by placing the amorphous particulate starch in a high-pressure reaction kettle, feeding ethylene gas after vacuumizing, performing a reaction at a pressure of 0.8-1.5 Mpa and a temperature of 20- 30℃ for 15-25 h. Test shows that the content of ethylene in the product is 30% or more. The adsorbing technology for ethylene in the method is simple and effective, having low cost. The product has a wide range of application in the field of fruit and vegetable atmosphere preservation.
