Abstract:
A method of agitating a solution, comprising providing a substance capable of selective binding immobilized on a carrier surface, bringing a solution containing a test substance capable of reacting with the selective binding substance into contact with the selective binding substance and performing agitation of the solution, wherein the test substance containing solution is mixed with fine particles or air bubbles, the fine particles or air bubbles moved without contact with the selective binding substance immobilization surface. This solution agitating method realizes acceleration of the reaction between the selective binding substance immobilized on the carrier and the test substance and even when the amount of analyte is minute, realizes providing of an agitation method excelling in signal intensity and S/N ratio. This solution agitating method contributes to realization of diagnosis and inspection at clinical sites utilizing a carrier having a selective binding substance immobilized thereon, such as DNA chip.
