Abstract:
The invention concerns a method and an algorithm for using surface waves. In particular the method uses mode separation and, by means of the dispersion curve of more than one mode in the inversion process, enables to determine a propagation speed gain of shear waves which, with the Poisson ratio gain, constitutes a unique solution and a complete characterization of an environment concerning its elastic properties.
