Abstract:
The present application provides a method and apparatus for accessing a cell. A terminal device can receive RMSI of a cell of a second carrier and information of a BWP by means of a cell of a first carrier, and then may obtain relevant information of the cell of the second carrier on the basis of the RMSI and the information of the BWP, thereby accessing the cell of the second carrier; there is no need to first access the cell of the first carrier and then hand over to the cell of the second carrier, thus facilitating rapidly accessing the cell of the second carrier and ensuring the service and performance of the terminal device.
