Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for adjusting the brightness of a display screen. The method comprises: acquiring reference backlight data of a display screen according to the brightness value of current ambient light when a brightness value of ambient light where the display screen is located exceeds a set value; acquiring position data of identification information in an image collected facing the display screen and determining compensation backlight data of the display screen according to the position data; and adjusting the backlight brightness of the display screen according to the reference backlight data and the compensation backlight data. The problem that the brightness of a display screen is reduced caused by different observation positions of a user to the display screen is compensated by identifying a position of the identification information (such as human eyes or a human face) with respect to the display screen, such that the brightness of the display screen is adjusted in time according to the brightness of ambient light and the position of the identification information, thereby ensuring that a user can also see the contents displayed on the display screen clearly in relatively strong external ambient light conditions, and improving the effect for a user viewing the display screen and the use experience.
