Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for adjusting a PHY master-slave mode. A first interface may obtain a master-slave relationship between a synchronous Ethernet clock of the first interface and a synchronous Ethernet clock of a second interface, and determine a PHY master-slave mode of the first interface. When determining that the master-slave relationship does not match the PHY master-slave mode of the first interface, the first interface may send a first request to the second interface or a network management device, the first request being used for requesting to adjust the PHY master-slave mode of the first interface and of the second interface, so as to avoid synchronous Ethernet clock transmission interruption caused by the PHY master-slave mode of the first interface. Hence, by using the solution provided by the embodiments of the present application, when determining that the master-slave relationship does not match the PHY master-slave mode of the first interface, the first interface sends the first request for requesting to adjust the PHY master-slave mode of the first interface and of the second interface, so that the PHY master-slave modes of the interfaces can be adjusted in time to avoid synchronous Ethernet clock transmission interruption.
