Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ALLOCATING MBMS BASED RESOURCES FOR V2X MESSAGE TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/043940
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for allocating resources for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) message transmission in a wireless communication system is provided. For the first solution, a pre-configuration based scheme is defined and specific temporary mobile group identities (TMGIs) are defined for the V2X service. For the second solution, a multi-cell/multicast coordination entity (MCE) receives a request for radio resource, which is based on an amount of V2X messages transmitted from vehicle user equipments (UEs) or road side unit (RSU) UEs, from an eNodB (eNB) supporting V2X function or an eNB type RSU, and transmits multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS) scheduling information to the eNB supporting V2X function or an eNB type RSU as a response to the request for radio resource.
