Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for assisted positioning. The method for assisted positioning comprises: a designated terminal establishes a connection with a base station and/or a core network, thereby constituting a microcell base station based on the designated terminal; and the designated terminal assists other terminals in positioning when receiving a positioning request sent by the other terminals. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, an assisted positioning source (such as a microcell base station) can be properly arranged according to the requirements of actual application scenarios to implement assisted positioning of other terminals, thereby effectively improving the positioning precision of the other terminals in particular scenarios (such as an indoor scenario) and solving the problem of positioning precision affected by limited communication between a base station and a terminal in some particular scenarios.
