Abstract:
A method for carrying communication by a network terminal device, for use in resolving the problem of waste of electricity of a wireless terminal device and wireless air interface resources when service transmission is carried out. After the wireless terminal device establishes an RRC connection with a base station, a control plane connection with an MME and a user plane bearer with a P-GW, a base station determines that a network terminal device transmits user plane data of the network terminal device by using the user plane bearer that is established by the wireless terminal device and that is between the base station and the P-GW. In this way, the base station releases an air interface connection between the wireless terminal device and the base station in time or the wireless terminal device is made to enter an electricity saving state.
