Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a specific method for changing a connection state of a terminal and an apparatus therefor. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to technology for, when an S1 connection release event occurs in a core network, releasing an RRC connection state of a terminal which is in a light connection state or an RRC-inactive state. One embodiment provides a method for changing a connection state by a terminal, and an apparatus therefor, the method comprising the steps of: configuring a connection state of a terminal as a particular RRC state on the basis of indication information which indicates a state change to a particular RRC state and is received from an anchor base station; receiving, from the anchor base station or a serving base station, an RAN initiation paging message generated due to an S1 connection release of the terminal; transmitting an RRC connection resumption request message for a state change from the particular RRC state to an RRC connection state on the basis of the RAN initiation paging message; and when the state of the terminal is changed to the RRC connection state, receiving an RRC connection release request message from the anchor base station or the serving base station, wherein the particular RRC state is a state that is neither the RRC connection state nor the RRC idle state.
