Abstract:
The present application belongs to the technical field of communications, and discloses a method and an apparatus for cleaning an application cache, an electronic device and a medium. The present application can solve the problems in the prior art of complex process for cleaning cache data of an application and low cleaning efficiency. Said method comprises: receiving a preset operation of a cache identifier displayed on an application icon of a target application, wherein the cache identifier is used for identifying at least one piece of the following cache information: a total cache size, cache types and cache sizes respectively corresponding to the cache types of the target application; and clearing, according to the preset operation, cache data corresponding to the cache identifier in the target application. By means of the technical solution, the purpose of clearing application cache data can be achieved only according to a preset operation executed by a user on a cache identifier displayed on an application icon, processing steps of cleaning an application cache are simplified, and the efficiency of cleaning an application cache is increased.
