Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus which can effectively remove foreign substances caught in inner air gaps of a high performance pavement using as small amount of cleaning water as possible. The apparatus has a hollow roller (10) rotatably supported by a main shaft (21); a vibration generating means for vibrating the roller (10) in the vertical direction; a water feed means for feeding cleaning water from inside the roller (10) to the contact portion between the high performance pavement (H) and the roller (10); and a suction means for sucking that cleaning water. The roller (10) has an elastic covering member (12) which covers the outer circumference of a rotating drum (11). The roller (10) has a plurality of water passage holes (13) and suction holes (14), which are formed to communicate between the inner circumferential portion and the outer circumferential portion. The suction means has a suction head (24, 54) which is in sliding contact with the bottom inner circumferential surface of the rotating drum (11) and a suction source (23) which communicates with the suction holes (14) that have reached the bottom position of the roller (10) through the suction head (24, 54).
