Abstract:
Embodiments are directed to a method for scheduling sensing and ranging in an ultra-wideband (UWB) system. The method includes determining a block comprising a plurality of rounds, wherein each of the plurality of rounds comprises a plurality of slots and determining whether sensing and ranging are to be scheduled in a single session or multiple sessions. Further, the method includes scheduling the sensing and the ranging by interleaving the ranging and the sensing in the plurality of slots of at least one round of the plurality of rounds in the determined block, in response to determining that the sensing and the ranging are to be scheduled in the single session, and providing the ranging and the sensing in the plurality of rounds of the determined block, in response to determining that the sensing and the ranging are to be scheduled in the multiple sessions.
