According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, provided is a method, performed by a transmission terminal, for performing sidelink communication with a reception terminal in a wireless communication system, the method including the steps of: receiving, from a base station and through a system information block (SIB), information about a resource pool for sidelink communication; selecting, in the resource pool, a resource for sidelink communication with a reception terminal; selecting a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for sidelink communication with a reception terminal, from among a plurality of DMRS configurations for sidelink communication; indicating the DMRS configuration to a reception terminal; and performing sidelink communication with a reception terminal by using the resource and the DMRS configuration.
