Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for configuring mobility measurement of a multi-carrier cell, which can be applied in mobile communication technology. The method comprises: a terminal device acquires, from within a received RRC instruction, configuration information of a primary carrier of a multi-carrier neighboring cell, configuration information of a secondary carrier, and measurement reporting configuration information; on the basis of the configuration information of the primary carrier and the configuration information of the secondary carrier, respectively measures reference signals corresponding to a primary carrier and secondary carrier of a multi-carrier neighboring cell to be detected; and according to the measurement reporting configuration information, reports measurement data of the reference signals corresponding to the primary carrier and secondary carrier of the multi-carrier neighboring cell to be detected. Therefore, on the basis of received mobility measurement configuration information, the terminal device can perform accurate measurement on multiple carriers of a multi-carrier cell to be detected, and report measurement data as a basis for cell reselection or cell handover.
