Abstract:
A method and apparatus for configuring a trigger condition for a wavebeam failure event, and a communication system. The method comprises: a network device configures one or more control channel monitoring groups for a user equipment, so that the user equipment reports, when detecting that transmission of a wavebeam corresponding to each monitoring group fails, a wavebeam failure event aiming at the monitoring group involved in the transmission failure, wherein each monitoring group corresponds to one or more pieces of Downlink Control Information (DCI). By configuring a trigger condition for a wavebeam failure event aiming at DCI, wavebeam failure detection and reporting under more complex scenarios can be supported, for example, a scenario where one piece of DCI is transmitted in multiple control resource sets, for another example, a scenario where one control resource set transmits multiple pieces of DCI, and the like.
