Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling the display of a screen in a portable terminal. The method for controlling the display of a screen in a portable terminal comprises the following processes: checking whether a touch on the screen has occurred; if a touch on the screen has occurred, checking whether or not the touch on the screen is a spiral touch using the coordinates at which the screen is touched; and, if the touch on the screen is a spiral touch, expanding or contracting the screen.
