Abstract:

A method for controlling operations of in-vehicle infotainments, comprising: detecting whether there is a passenger sitting on a non-driver's seat, and if there is a passenger, operating a corresponding in-vehicle infotainment to provide a service; detecting whether the passenger sitting on the non-driver's seat has transferred, and if the passenger sitting on the non-driver's seat has transferred, closing the corresponding in-vehicle infotainment to stop providing the service. Also provided is an apparatus for controlling operations of in-vehicle infotainments. The method and apparatus for controlling operations of in-vehicle infotainments can automatically operate a corresponding in-vehicle infotainment to provide a service when there is a passenger sitting on the non-driver's seat, so as to add entertainment for the passenger during the process of riding in a vehicle. Moreover, when the passenger gets off halfway or moves to other seats, the corresponding in-vehicle infotainment can be automatically closed to stop providing the service to the passenger, thereby saving power and reducing fuel consumption of automobiles.
