Abstract:
Starting an internal combustion engine (10) may be difficult as a consequence of the operating conditions of the engine. Even after the engine (10) has started, it may take a long period of time for the engine (10) to reach operating temperatures. In the present disclosure, when engine start (10) difficulty is expected, before starting the engine (10) a forced induction compressor (26) arranged with the engine (10) may be turned on to increase the engine intake air pressure before the engine (10) is started.
