Abstract:
Disclosed is a tilt correction method wherein tilt correction relating to an optical disc (20) is performed, said optical disc having a guide layer (21) that has a track previously formed thereon, and a plurality of recording layers (22) laminated on the guide layer. The tilt correction method is provided with: a first drive quantity calculating step wherein, on the basis of return light from the guide layer for a first light beam (L2) for tracking, a first drive quantity, i.e., a drive quantity of a first aberration correcting means (LC2), is calculated so as to correct coma aberration relating to the first light beam; a second calculating step wherein, on the basis of the calculated first drive quantity and recording layer information relating to one recording layer among the recording layers, a second drive quantity, i.e., a drive quantity of a second aberration correcting means (LC1), is calculated so as to correct coma aberration relating to a second light beam (L1) for recording/reproduction; and a control step wherein, while controlling the first aberration correcting means corresponding to the calculated first drive quantity, the second aberration correcting means is controlled corresponding to the calculated second drive quantity.
